The NPO NEW ITALIAN BLOOD promotes, since 2009, an annual award for the best Italian architects and landscape designers under 36. aut–aut, winner of the architecture section, curated the set-up of the Roman stop of the itinerant exhibition of the works of the 20 young talents selected for the two categories during the 2017 edition. The project is inserted in the evocative outdoor spaces of the Ex Mattatoio, the former city slaughterhouse, now home of the Roma Tre Faculty of Architecture.
The hanging installation recalls the former function of the building and uses its picturesque technical structures as supports. A system of 2 shaped wooden panels differentiates the categories of the award. The event has been included in the Open House Roma program and the installation has been broadly appreciated by public and press.
